Earth Day 2025: Epic Thinkers, Big Purpose, One Greener Planet
Earth Day — or, as we like to call it, Earth Celebration Day — is our planet’s annual reminder that she’s fabulous, fragile, and always in need of some TLC. It’s a day to pause, appreciate nature, and show some serious love to our one and only home. To make this day even more special, we’ve teamed up with two incredible experts who are redefining sustainability education for the future residents of Earth: young children.
Earth Day: Our Power, Our Planet
This year’s Earth Day theme — Our Power, Our Planet — sparked something personal in us. We thought: what if we had been taught about sustainability early on? Maybe our world would be greener, cleaner, and a little more hopeful. Wanting to change the story for future generations, we reached out to two inspiring educators — Matthew and Priti, who share our belief that sustainability must begin early.
If we want the next generation to live in a climate-safe world, we need to give them the tools to build it. With the right guidance, kids can grow up to be compassionate, curious, and climate-conscious. And really, isn’t that what the Earth needs most?

Whether in schools or neighbourhoods, Matthew and Priti are helping kids think deeper, act smarter, and feel more connected to the planet. Matthew’s Climate Academy and Priti’s Womb to World are all about making sustainability real and relatable — starting early, staying curious, and making change feel doable. As Priti beautifully put it during our chat, childhood is when character takes root — and as adults, we often find ourselves circling back to those early lessons. So what better time than now to plant the seeds of environmental care? Why not make Earth love part of the basics? If kids grow up knowing that Earth Day isn’t just a one-day thing, but a mindset, they’ll carry that care with them into the future — and pass it on.

During this heart-to-heart filled with smart, funny, and deeply meaningful Earth-honouring conversations, Matthew and Priti shared bold ideas, relatable stories, and planet-positive goals — all designed to turn “uh-oh” into “let’s go!” So come join the fun, rethink your footprint, and bring the next generation along for the ride — because helping kids grow up with Earth love might just be the most powerful action of all.
From Earth Hour to Earth Day
From turning off lights for an hour to lighting up global conversations—Earth Hour sparked something big. And now, Earth Day carries that torch for 24 whole hours of eco-love. It’s heartwarming (and planet-cooling!) to see people, schools, companies, and even sleepy pets get involved. These movements do more than raise awareness—they build communities, shift habits, and remind us that caring for the planet isn’t a trend, it’s a lifestyle.

It’s amazing to witness such collective power in action. Schools are planting trees, offices are ditching plastic, and social feeds are finally full of something meaningful. But the real magic happens when these acts move beyond the calendar. Let’s take the Earth Day spirit and stretch it across 365. For our planet, with our power—let’s make this green mission count.
Earth Day: Eco-Experts Spill Truth

At Green Pistachio, we love celebrating all things green and get way too excited about green events. This time, we sat down with two eco-expert educators to talk Earth Day, climate action, sustainability, and how communities can step up. Spoiler: saving the planet isn’t boring — it’s inspiring and a lot of fun too!
Their insights offer a fresh perspective on how we can make a meaningful impact — not just on Earth Day, but every day. It’s real talk, real solutions — and the motivation we all need to keep our planet thriving.

Here’s some snapshots of leafy wisdom straight from the green wizards.
Priti Raichura Gets Real About Green Goals
Priti Raichura is a passionate Montessori educator, eco-enthusiast, and founder of Womb to World, perfectly primed to inspire the most important changemakers of all — young minds. She brings a powerful voice to climate conversations by teaching young children the importance of mindful living. She believes the future can be shaped by empowering the next generation — one curious question, one green habit at a time. So, she’s on a mission to turn preschoolers into planet-savers.

In a world that often underestimates children’s ability to grasp big issues, Priti is hitting the Earth Day jackpot — blending heart with a touch of Montessori magic to prove they’re ready to lead the way.
What Priti shared with us was nothing short of inspiring — and this is just the tip of the (melting) iceberg. Inside her Montessori world, children learn through doing: gardening, crafting, caring for animals. These aren’t just fun activities — they’re powerful tools shaping tomorrow’s green leaders. Through gentle guidance and playful learning, Priti is planting seeds of change that will bloom for years to come.
Matthew Pye’s Philosophical Take On Earth Day
Ever wondered what happens when philosophy meets climate change? Enter Matthew Pye—Brussels-based thinker, author, and founder of the Climate Academy. We couldn’t think of anyone better to chat with this Earth Day. With his thought-provoking books No Common Sense and Philosophy Tackles Climate Change, Matthew’s ideas aren’t just eye-opening—they’re action-inspiring. He’s using timeless wisdom to drive one of the most urgent and essential movements of our time—and honestly, it’s got us thinking harder and feeling more hopeful.

Matthew talks eco-philosophy on Earth Day, explaining why we should start teaching sustainability when teens are buzzing with curiosity and shaping their values.
We are truly honoured to have him share his wisdom with our readers and fellow eco-enthusiasts. We sat down with Matthew Pye — and trust us, it was a whole vibe. He made us laugh, reflect, and rethink our approach to sustainability—all in one go! With his unique mix of philosophy and action, he offered powerful lessons for educators, parents, and young eco-warriors alike.
