June is Ocean Month… but what about the other 11 months?

While the world showers the oceans with love in June, we took a walk along a beach in Mumbai—and were met with a heartbreaking sight: the horrifying reality of our beaches and, honestly, our habits! We found waves of plastic, piles of trash, and a shore that had lost its sparkle.

Why do we romanticize beaches but forget the real work they need? We enjoy the sunsets and sea breeze, but ignore the plastic bottle at our feet. We chase vacation vibes, but sidestep our own footprint. It’s time we move beyond just aesthetic posts and get our hands dirty. Join a beach clean-up not just for selfies—but for actual action. And let’s take selfies that count- when you post, tag your friends, raise awareness, and inspire real change.

So, how do we keep the ocean love alive beyond June?

You and me

Back legit conservation projects, try ocean citizen science, and grab a bag on your next beach walk and collect trash like you’re collecting karma points. Join hands with initiatives like Marine Life of Mumbai, who are documenting the stunning biodiversity that still thrives along our coasts—often hidden beneath the plastic.

Businesses

Cut the green fluff and anchor your brand in real, measurable climate goals. Fund cleanups, audit your impact, and turn every campaign into a call for real action —like partnering with 5RCycle, which works with brands to responsibly recycle multilayer plastics and build a circular economy.

Authorities

Stop dipping toes—dive into strong marine laws, enforcement, and bans on destructive practices. Put ocean health at the heart of budgets, treaties, and climate plans.

We’ll be sharing more soon. If you’d like to join forces or share your work, contact us here
